I know this is going to be a bit long, but i really need to give you a little background because it would better help you to understand what i am doing and why i am writing.

1) what am i doing?              I am specifically in Singaporeon an internship with Harding university. There are three of us, daniel, april and myself, and we raised quite a bit of money so that we could have the opportunity to learn first hand what it is like to live as a missionary for christ. this two month ordeal was a blessing from god, and i hope that my being here can infulence others in a positive and encouraging way.

2) why i am writing?             I am writing to tell you, yes you, about my journeys as i travel. and to express myself to you in one of the best ways i know how: writing.

Now…. on to the first few pages of my written journal…. now to be typed… (some days are missing for my hand’s sake, and will be added later)

I have completed my finals and am not quite finished packing my items so that i can return home. This is the first entry of many for my singapore journal. I need to finish filling out some paperwork for my internship, so this will be short. Gus Gus (my hampster) is making so much noise in his box, and i don’t know where to put him to make him stop. he is such a great hampster thughand does not bite. it has been a pleasure to have had him for a roommate. God has blessed me with the love of others, and i8 am very thankful…. but i really need to sleep now

Wow! Today has been crasy! First, we landed at 6:10-ishin the morning! Meeting the Hogans was very nice, and I think that I will enjoy working withthem. I am still completely unsure of how my internship will play a role in this church. I know what I would like to do, but i am not sure of what needs to be done, and that is what is important. I hope that God will show me what he wants me to do. I am not entirely sure, but they told me that i might be able to teach some people ceramics. i greatly miss working with clay and i hope that this opportunity presents it’s self. I tried squid today, also. It was so different texture wise, but other than wanting to gag because of the texture (lol) it was really good. I hope that God will open my taste buds so that i can experiance more flavors!

I am in an irritable mood today, and i am not sure why. i did enjoy my day though. we visited the national museum of singapore’s history. the museum had many great displays and i know i would enjoy visiting agian. we also watched the movie iron man, and like savannah and chip said… the last few words ruined it for me… Oh, yeah… something really stinky happened… April’s identity was stollen!

Today was definitally fun in my book! Church was a little different than i expected, but it was really enjoyable. Daniel, April and i went swimming at our host, james’s, sister’s appartment and they fed us japanesesfood, which i did not care fore the seaweed, but the rest was really amazing. we also hung out with the teens for alittlewhile after church and got to know them and what life was like for them. that was really neat! WE have been given our first few tasks for our next 2 months and i am excited to say that i will be working with childrens camps and work shops. one really cool thing… we are going to cambodia! Tomorrow we face the unthinkable…DAVE’S OFFICE!! Dun DUN DONE!!! AHH! LOL!

Cleaning out daves office was fun because daniel and i found ways to incorperate book titles into our conversation.. and that was “A Work of God.” well, i am very sleepy so i am going to go to bed…. ZzZzZz….

today we flew to cambodia and are staying in a hotel called “Asia Hotel.” it is a really nice hotel. Some things i saw tonight. 1) a took-took: a motorcycle that has an attachment that will hold aprox. 4 people. 2) watched two guys pick up a hooker… not cool! 3) went to a cheep movie shope and got prison break season 1!!! 4) tried the hairry berry which is very much like ‘gnip.’
