mom, dad… sorry to say, but i ran out of minutes so i will call you the next time i am at the church building… i hope that is soon, oh yeah, we are headed back to malaysia this weekend woot woot! i am tired and have to go to bed! teaching ceramics is really wearing me out! ZzZzZz… opps… i fell asleep! lol!

a tired week

hey all!
it has been a long week, sry that i have not written lately, alot of stuff has just plagued the weekend. for all who did not know, daniel left us because his grandmother died. so we tried to do everything that daniel wanted to do before he left. we rode on a double decker bus, went to see the night safari (zoo), and cooked an amazing meal that should not have tasted as good as it did, but i have the recipe, so ma, dad, be ready to have that for dinner one night that i am home, it was really great. It was really tough to say good-bye to daniel, he was such a huge part of our team, but at about 10 pm monday night… we sent him home. i hope that he gets the opportunity to meet us in J.F.K. in new york.
so funny weird story, April and i were on the bus on monday and we sit down in the back row, now it is normal for people to ask us where we are from and what we are doing in singapore, but there was this guy named “david” who asked us far more than that, even when i really tried ignore him, he still gave me his number to call him and told us to get ahold of him, it was really weird. so while i was to freaked out to remember the number, the guy in front of us wrote down the number and when the creepy guy got off the bus had we pointed they creepy dude out to him, thankfully the fuy in front of us turned the creepy guy in. it was creepy. hopefully you followed me thru that he did she did stuff.
so yesterday we went to sentosa, it is a beautiful beach resort and a man-made island. we went with veronica, and it was really great.
yesterday we went to a ceramics studio also that was just amazing, i will be excited to show pictures to others because of the beautiful art work and the way it is set up. we also moved to marks and karens last night, so hopefully, all will go well. i am tired and slightly annoyed right now, so i will leave you here. god bless, and pray for daniels family for me!

hey everyone,

so today has been a great just chil day. yesterday was our day off, along with the day before, but today we have had the opportunity to visit the friends of the disabled society. it seems like a really cool organization, it is just sad the the disabled are not as Incorporated into their society as they are in the american. i am going to be teaching them ceramics if everything works out right, i am sooo completely jazzed! well that is all 4 2day, we have got other work that we are supposed to be doing! lol

so this past weekend has been really great, i was able to meet some of the members of the church here, and get to know them better. then april lost her wallet when we got back, i got lost in a malaysian mall, we are going to hang out with some of the teens from the church tonight. it has been absolutely crazy. but God has been there for us the whole time, so it has been really wonderful.

we left friday morning at about 7, and got to the most beautiful hotel at about 9 in the morning. we has coffee and had a worship service, and april, daniel and i had the kids… in an executive suite! it was so amazing! so the first class was not amazing because we were not given very much time to practice or set up our lesson, but that was inevitable. but, i was given plenty of time to prepare my class, and it went so wonderful! the kids worked with me, the adults were compliant, and the lesson was organized just the way i wanted. so in the beginning of my lesson, the kids were not aloud to talk, i had them read signs, and follow my directions… but nobody- not even me- was talking! after a few seconds, i whispered to them and asked them a few questions, and they were all calm enough to answer my questions, and i got some very good answers from them. then we had them get into pairs: one person in the pair was blind; the other mute. the mute had to lead the blind through the box to the other side, the kids all laughed as some of them walked out of the box, and others walked around the room perfectly, it was really great. then i had them make prayer journals, it was so cool when on sunday, they showed my the prayer journals that they had made, and had written prayers in! it was so cool.

later we listen to randy speak, he spoke on prayer, and it was really interesting to listen to him tell how he went and spent 40 days silent with hermits. just hearing how his prayer life was inspired and how it grew was amazing, and i hope that i may get and opportunity like that one day.

saturday night i went swimming for the first time in along time, and it felt amazing. the water was so clean and pure, it was great to glide through it, and just float on it. it was nice to sit with different families at lunch and to talk with them, and get to know them better, was just amazing. when sunday came up, i had made many friends that i hope to keep for a long time.

now, to me getting lost. I went to the Malaysian mall with the church, and we went to a book store there, and i lost sight of everyone, i didn’t really think much about it, until, i forgot what time we were supposed to meet the buses, that was bad! because i thought that they had said 2.45 instead of the actually 3.45, so i flipped… well not really, i just prayed really hard, i asked God to lead me to a familiar face, and he did, he lead me to my host family. God is so great! it is just sad because we are switching homes on Wednesday, april and i are going to live with another missionary family. i am so happy for the opportunity to go live with another family so that i can understand what their jobs and goals are for thier church. but it is also sad to have to leave the Yip family. i hope that God blesses them as they have bless us. which brings me to the next story… april’s wallet. so we walked home from the bus last night, and april dropped her wallet, but we did not know until this morning about ten, we went to file a report, and james yip went with us. he gave april extra cash and his bus card so we could get around, and after we walked to the bus, april was really up set, and she said “i wish someone would walk up and say i think this belongs to you.” well, we did not get to far, when i said,”you’re never gunna believe this…” i handed her wallet to her. her tears of sadness quickly turned to tears of joy, after finding her wallet on the ground it held around $200 american dollars (it was a mix of sing, malay, and american cash + a bus card) and everything was still in the wallet. she smiled at the store, and it was really great. God works in the weirdest ways sometimes.

so now we are at the church, about to have some teens over so that we can hang out with them and get to hang out with them some more. i am so jazzed.

so this has been my weekend in a nut shell! GB

hey!

so the past few days have been kinda crazy, but we have survived. We have almost finished cataloging dave’s office and we attended a leadership seminar given by Randy Harris. we are going to be going to Malaysia on friday, and we are helping with about 36 children while we are there. i am so excited! we saw that movie “maid of honour,” it was pretty good despite the fact that he slept with everyone throughout the whole movie, but other than that it was really clean. we are making Dave a german chocolate cake tonight, and making debbie a cheese cake, which both have been a nightmare to shop for, the price of grocery stores is nutts! 5 bucks for a bar of creame cheese! well, i have to help get ready for tomorrow, so everyone be good!

a creep calmness

i am sitting in the church library right now listening to sum 41, and i am drifting away while writing this, my thoughts are all over the place, and you would laugh if you heard some of the things my mind is saying. it is quite comical, and i wish i could write some of it, but if u know me, you know that it disappears before i get a chance to type it. lol. i am looking through some pictures on facebook right now though, and i ran across the pictures with the aggies, what a cool group of people, and i know that god will bless them in many ways. i have seen some really neat movies lately also, we saw prince caspian, indiana jones, and some others that i forgot the tittles of.

April and i are going to go to little india today, i think, and maybe we will call daniel, lol. i think we will, we would not be the harding three w/o him. daniel is such a great person, and i am glad to have the opportunity to get to know him on a my deeper level than i would have been able to at school. at school, you don’t really get to know a person because you only see each other once in a blue moon, but livind side-by-side with april and daniel has given me a really cool opportunity to get to know them better, the good the bad and the ugly! lol, no i am just kidding, they are really great people and it is really awesome that God allowed me to get to know them.

I have recently seen God’s hand while i am here. Mickey has always has issues with attitude and behavior. at the debies conference thingy, i talked to my mom and she told me about mickey misbehaving, and i told my mom that i would pray for her (my mom), just as i hung up the phone with her, i opened a book and it said “treating children with uncommon needs.” i mean, God is sooo kol! he has done that alot of times with me in the past year. i just love it when i get frustrated with God, and then he smacks me upside the head and says “get back on track!”

well, i have alot of work todo, so be kol!
